1.Kabaddi

Kabaddi is a team sport from South Asia. It is popular in the Indian subcontinent and other surrounding Asian countries. Kabaddi is the national sport of Bangladesh. This game is a mix of rugby without a ball and red rover. The basic rules of Kabaddi are simple: two teams of seven players each face off in a large rectangular area for two halves of twenty minutes each. The size of the court is about 13m x 10m. Players from each team take turns running across the center line to the other team’s half of the court, tagging members of the other team, and running back. Each side gets alternating turns to send any one player to the opponent’s side. This player is called the raider and each player on the opposing team is called a defender.

The more opposing team members they tag, the more points they score, but if the opposing team can physically prevent them from crossing back to their side of the court, they score no points. In order to get a bonus point, the raider must cross the baulk or check line with one foot with the other one in the air, when the defending team has 6 or 7 defenders. Kabaddi is also popular in other parts of the world where there are Indian and Pakistani communities such as in the United Kingdom where the sport is governed by the England Kabaddi Federation UK. Races involve riding around the course for a fixed number of laps, where the rider to cross the finish line first is declared as the winner. The FIM Motocross World Championship is the most notable event for the sport that is conducted annually. In 1957 it was upgraded to World Championship status. In 1962 a 250 cc world championship was established. Major categories include road racing, off-road racing, both either on circuits or open courses, and track racing, hill climbs, drag racing and land speed record trials.

Riders must use the same motorcycle throughout a race, with repairs made between heats if necessary. A cotton jersey, nylon pants padded at the knee and thigh, padded boots and gloves, a helmet and goggles, a plastic chest protector, and a kidney belt for support constitute the usual outfit of the motocross cyclist. It would be great for you to learn to ride in different weather conditions. In a rough terrain, navigate bumps by standing up because while standing your legs will act like a double-long suspension set. It is also important to learn how to fix your bike by yourself. Again, only the tip of the blade counts but the target area is the entire body so there is no lame. The sabre is a cutting and thrusting weapon with a maximum weight of 500 grams. The entire blade can score with the target area the upper half of the body, covered by the lame, including the face mask and neck bib which must also be made of conducting material. The foil has a maximum weight of 500 grams and is a thrusting weapon. Only the tip of the blade counts with the target area the torso which is covered by the lame. Most competitive fencers choose to specialize in one weapon only. The competitor who scores the most points during the three, three-minute rounds, or reaches 15 points first, wins.

Fencing is governed by Federation Internationale d’Escrime (FIE). Fencing The Romans brought sword combat to a highly systematic art that was taught to both their legions and their gladiators. Gladiators were trained in schools by professional instructors. Beginners practiced with a wooden sword called a rudis. More-advanced training took place with weapons that were somewhat heavier than those used in actual combat. Swords were heavy and used primarily to broach the protective armour. Fencing was originally a form of military training and started to evolve into a sport in both Germany and Italy. Since that tragic accident, masks and the neck bibs surrounding them are subject to stringent checks. All masks must pass a 12kg “punch test” with FIE-approved versions, obligatory for World Championships and Olympic Games, made of stainless steel and non-FIE masks usually made of carbon steel mesh. Masks normally have a removable inside lining for easy washing. The neck bibs are usually made of Kevlar or other strong synthetic fibre and made to resist a force of 1600 Newtons.

One nautical mile per hour is called a “knot”. The origin of the word “knot” comes from the olden days when the speed on the ships would be measured by throwing into the sea a log attached to a rope with evenly spaced knots.
